Suggested Route – Day 1

  • Take #7 Bus from Naval Dockyard to Hamilton
  • For Glass Beach, ask the bus driver to drop you at Royal Naval Cemetery located on Malabar Road, across the cemetery you need to take the Albert Row for the Sea Glass beach. This is a narrow road along the coastline that veers off the main road towards right behind a cluster of bright blue houses. But before entering Albert Row look towards left. You can see Black Bay beach below few yards away accessible from a circular scooter driveway across the main road and through the rocks. You will come back here after a visit to the Sea Glass beach. Walk down Albert Row towards right. You will come to a patio and think you have reached a private property. Actually there is only one private house here on your right that belongs to a local Bermudian. Right next to his gate, there is a stairway that leads down to the tiny Sea Glass beach which is a public beach. But before you start the climb down, notice sea glasses that are embedded within the concrete. Locals have created funny structures and faces with concrete and having sea glasses embedded on them. You will appreciate the skills.
  • For Horseshoe Bay Beach, ask the bus driver for Horseshoe Bay Beach.  (It gets busy – Check out the coves!) – You may wish to take some time to paddle, swim or snorkel whilst at the beach
  • For Hamilton ask for Front Street – Bus may terminate at Hubert W ‘Sparky’ Lightbourne Bus Terminus – Front street is a short walk – Enjoy the sites, shopping and a spot of lunch in Hamilton and return at your leisure via the Ferry to the Dockyards (The Blue Route Ferry leaves every hour, on the hour)
